Letter: A random act of kindness

Lost wallet was returned before the owner had even realized it was missing.

A Thompson man says his wallet was returned to him at the Thompson Public Library Nov. 9 before he even noticed that it had fallen out of his jacket pocket.

To the Editor:

On Nov. 9, I was standing at the counter in the Thompson Public Library when a young lady approached me and asked if I had lost my wallet. I immediately felt my jacket pocket and, sure enough, my wallet was gone. It must have fallen out of my jacket pocket when I got out of my vehicle and I hadn’t even realized that I had lost it. She handed it to me and I barely had time to say thank you before she was out the door and gone.

We have many wonderful young people in our community and I am so grateful that my wallet was found by one of them.
