Norman Northstars assistant captain Brady Krentz was named the Manitoba AAA U18 Hockey League CCM player of the week Nov. 9 after scoring six assists and one goal in a win and an overtime loss against the Yellowhead Chiefs Nov. 6-7.

Krentz, 17, set up five of his team’s goals in a 6-2 win Saturday night, then assisted on one goal and scored the one that sent the game to extra time in a 3-2 overtime defeat the following day.

In 17 games this season, Krentz has 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points and is second in league scoring. Two of his goals and 13 of his assists have come on the power play and he has one game-winner so far this season.

The 6-foot, 200-pound Krentz is the second Northstar to be named player of the week so far this season. In October, defenceman Cheechoo Lathlin received the honour.
