Thompson Unlimited often comes across as a pretty low-profile entity. Partly that's by design and partly, as general manager Mark Matiasek admits, because they haven't always done a good job at communicating their message.

To the Editor: I am writing this letter as a parent and a concerned driver in the City of Thompson.

To the editor: So Lou Morissette is owner of Setting Security Consultants - is this for the Setting Lake area and the inhabitants? Because there isn't a thing in his five-year plan presented to city council on Feb. 1 that's worth a hill of beans.

It's not that often we expect to find ourselves saying the City of Thompson made a wise deal in walking away from three housing lots valued at about $434,000 for what will likely be a very nominal price. But this is one of those times.
