David Andrew McGill
David Andrew McGill passed away at Thompson General Hospital after a brief illness. Service of Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 10 at 2:00 PM at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church with reception to follow at the church.
Beloved son of the late Jim and Ailsa McGill of Pointe Claire, Quebec; beloved brother to John (Peggy); Jeff and Marion(Grif). He was very proud of nieces Sandy, Erin, Heather, Shannon (Jason), Catherine (David) and Emily (Kourosh) and nephew, the late Michael McGill. Dave also welcomed great-nieces and nephews Kim, Megan, Joshua, Elizabeth and Malcolm to his family gallery.
He found companionship and inspiration in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian church donating much of his time to helping others as well as supporting various wildlife conservation efforts.
During his last year, despite failing health, Dave took it upon himself to portray in watercolours all the churches in Thompson.
Donations can be made to support those with Acquired Brain Injury at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg.
