On June 14 the Thompson Teachers’ Association (TTA) held a retirement celebration at the Thompson Golf Club to honour six retiring teachers – Val Little (33 years), Russ Brandt (31 years), Carolyn Halcrow (22 years), Astra Holmes (22 years), Suzanna Stewart (20 years) and Trudy Rickets (19 years). The evening began with a lovely dinner followed by a program led by emcee Tairra Warren. The TTA recognizes and celebrates the retiring members’ many years of teaching as a tremendous accomplishment. Teaching is an honourable profession in which teachers have an impact on young learning minds and contribute to society. The TTA wishes all the retirees a wonderful retirement and all the best in their future endeavours.
