Rogers cell phone customers in Thompson will have to rely on phone or online customer service to change their service or upgrade their devices since the store in the City Centre Mall closed Oct. 31.
Sherrie Kreuger, who ran the store since it opened in 2011, said the decision was made for personal, non-business-related reasons.
“It was a very hard decision for me,” she said Nov. 5.
The store had five employees – two full-time and three part-time – and Kreuger said that the three part-time employees had been at the store since 2011 and that they had full-time jobs elsewhere.
Existing customers and people who would like to be can sign up for service, buy phones, request assistance and manage their accounts via the company’s website.
