Although this money was officially awarded in the spring, the Thompson Golf Club (TGC) hosted members of the Thompson Community Foundation on Oct. 19 in order to thank them for their recent financial contribution.
According to TGC board member Jenna MacLaine, this $20,000 grant was used conduct significant roof repairs on their clubhouse, which is around 30 years old.
MacLaine also mentioned that the TGC just celebrated its 50th anniversary this past August and has their eye on making some additional upgrades to the building in the coming year.
