Teen driver who crashed truck in Thompson Aug. 21 had two-and-a-half times legal blood alcohol limit

A 16-year-old female who crashed the truck she was driving into a parked truck on Grey Wolf Bay around 5 a.m. Aug 21 is facing a charge of impaired driving.

A 16-year-old female who crashed the truck she was driving into a parked truck on Grey Wolf Bay around 5 a.m. Aug 21 is facing a charge of impaired driving.

The teen was located at the scene and taken back to the RCMP detachment where she provided a breath sample that was more than two-and-a-half times the legal blood alcohol content limit of .08, said RCMP media relations officer Sgt. Paul Manaigre. She was later released and is scheduled to appear in Thompson court in September.
