The provincial government declared a COVID-19 outbreak at the Thompson YWCA around 4 p.m. Oct. 14.
The institution was moved to the critical level under the province’s Pandemic Response System (PRS) and restrictions on visitors put in place.
Under the PRS, the critical (red) level indicates that community spread of COVID-19 is not contained and that the virus is being transmitted at levels that public health and the health care system can not manage.
