A person who knows the victim said it is the third time he has been stabbed in the past year-and-a-half. He was previously stabbed in the ribs. Another time, he was with a friend who was stabbed in the face and hit with a machete in the back. The victim blocked some knife strikes with his hands and one of the stab wounds was to his lower back.

The attack occurred when the victim was walking home after visiting a friend. He was treated in hospital and discharged about two hours after the attack.
