Drunk dirt bike driver arrested on school property

A 21-year-old woman riding a dirt bike on the École Riverside School grounds in Thompson shortly before noon June 6 has been charged with impaired driving.

Thompson RCMP received a report of an impaired dirt bike driver on Granite Crescent at 11:46 a.m. Sunday and located the bike and driver on school property. The driver showed signs of alcohol intoxication and failed a breath test on a roadside screening device. She was arrested for impaired driving and provided breath samples over the legal limit before being released with an order to appear in court at a future date.

The woman also had her driver’s licence suspended for 90 days ad the dirt bike was impounded for 30 days.
