Driver of vehicle hitting snowbanks on Thompson Drive arrested for impaired driving

A 28-year-old man from Winnipeg was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving Nov. 26 after the vehicle he was driving ran into snowbanks on Thompson Drive.

Thompson RCMP received a report about a suspected impaired driver around 10:20 p.m. Thursday and located the vehicle on Campbell Drive. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and provided breath samples over the legal limit of .08 blood alcohol content.

Police discovered that the man was under a court-ordered curfew and had five warrants for his arrest so he was remanded into custody.
