Work continues on Thompson’s new sewage treatment plant, with more masonry being completed and work being done on the outflow pipe into the Burntwood River.
A diver was on site this week to install a diffuser onto the pipe, through which treated water will flow from the plant out into the river. The diffuser will help distribute effluent to reduce the initial concentration of materials leaving the plant and keeping them at environmentally safe levels, the City of Thompson said on social media.
