A 54-year-old woman was hospitalized with multiple injuries after a stabbing at a Nickel Road apartment April 6.
Thompson RCMP received a report of a stabbing in progress around 9 p.m. Tuesday and arrived to find the victim inside one of the apartments and a weapon on the hallway floor. Officers seized the weapon and performed CPR on the woman until Thompson Fire & Emergency Services arrived on the scene.
Investigation led officers to a Princeton Drive apartment complex where a disturbance involving the suspect was in progress. A 17-year-old female was arrested for assault with a weapon but the charge was later upgraded to aggravated assault.
The suspect remains in custody and the victim is in stable condition, say police, who continue to investigate.
