16 grams of meth seized from Thompson hotel room

Thompson RCMP arrested two people and seized 16 grams of methamphetamine when they executed a search warrant at a room in the Mystery Lake Hotel around 9:30 p.m. Nov. 30.

Drug trafficking paraphernalia was also seized during the search, police say

Melanie Allison Pasaluko, 48, of Winnipeg faces multiple charges for trafficking methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. She was remanded into custody.

Cory Couture, 39, of Winnipeg was arrested during the search and provided a false name to police. After his real identify was determined, police discovered he had three warrants for his arrest. He is also facing a charge for possessing cocaine and was remanded into custody.
