The Thompson King Miners played host to the under-11 rural A1 hockey provincials March 4-6. The team from Stonewall took gold, while Springfield earned silver and Mitchell the bronze. Thompson was winless in the round-robin to finish out of the medals, winding up their tournament with a 4-1 loss to the Mitchell Mustangs on March 5 (pictured), with their only goal coming late in the third period to prevent a Mitchell shutout.
