Thompson stabbing lands one man in hospital, suspect charged with aggravated assault

A 42-year-old man was stabbed outside a business on Cree Road April 28 and Thompson RCMP arrested and charged a 40-year-old man.

An April 28 stabbing on Cree Road in Thompson sent a man to hospital with life-threatening injuries and police arrested a suspect.

One man is in hospital and another is in custody following an April 28 stabbing outside a Cree Road business in Thompson.

Thompson RCMP responded to a report of a man who was stabbed just before 8 p.m. Friday evening and found a 42-year-old Thompson man with life-threatening injuries who was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition. 

Investigation led officers to arrest 40-year-old Johnathon Denechezhe from Hatchet Lake First Nation in Saskatchewan. He was charged with aggravated assault and remanded into custody.
