Councillor Stella Locker objected to resolutions sending two representatives to the Association of Manitoba Municipalities meeting and four to the Manitoba Mining and Minerals Convention, saying the city should reduce travel costs. Both resolutions were passed.

Animal control officer Cliff Spence, retiring after nearly 30 years in various jobs with the City of Thompson, said the two most unusual animals that stayed at the pound were a Burmese python found in a drawer and a pet rooster.
