Three R.D Parker Collegiate students received Waterloo Math Awards while a number of other students received honours and honours with distinction awards in a ceremony at the school Nov. 9.The awards are intended to recognize the academic success of the students during the 2009-2010 school year.
To receive honours students had to have an overall average mark of 80 to 84.9 per cent in their normal course of studies in each of Grades 9-11.
Student receiving honours with distinction had to have an overall average of 85 per cent or better in their normal course of studies in each of Grades 9-11.
Winning Waterloo Math Awards were Patricia Sroga for Grade 11, while the Grade 10 award was picked up by Avery Derechuk and the Grade 9 award was snagged by Justin Paulic.
