Thompson has been a hotbed of hotel building this fall with Accommodations North's Suburban Extended Stay Hotel on Moak Crescent and Yellowknife developer Tony Chang's 80-unit Super 8 Motel on Mystery Lake Road both under construction. The two projects will add almost 150 new hotel rooms to the city's inventory, making for close to 600 hotel rooms at 10 hotels in Thompson when the two new ones open.
