Chanel Shumka, Caylin Taylor and Jordan Morris, all Grade 8 students from Thompson, have been accepted into the Manitoba Provincial Honour Band. The three will perform twice in Winnipeg, including one performance with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, and are the only students from anywhere North of Winnipeg and Brandon to be selected. Shumka and Morris are both percussionists, while Taylor plays the clarinet.
