Approximately $5,000 worth of marijuana, a handgun, cash, and packaging materials were seized from a residence in the Eastwood neighbourhood, according to Thompson RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Rob Collen.
The seizure happened on Aug. 13, after RCMP executed a search warrant in the residence.
Thompson resident Craig Saunders, 36, was arrested at the scene. He has been remanded into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, and several firearms-related charges. A court date has been set for Aug. 17 in Thompson.
