A colour guard made up of members of Thompson Fire and Emergency Services (EMS), accompanied by bagpiper and fire Capt. Blair Buchanan, stood at attention outside of St. John's United Church on Caribou Road in Thompson May 13 for the funeral of Coun. Brian Wilson, 77, who died May 9 after a long battle with leukemia. Wilson was also the superintendent of the School District of Mystery Lake from 1981 until his retirement in 1998.
