$4,000 worth of cocaine seized, RCMP says

Two Thompsonites are facing charges after a Dec. 4 cocaine seizure.

RCMP say the seizure occurred in the Eastwood area of Thompson. "Police seized a quantity of cocaine, worth approximately $4,000, and packaging materials from the residence," said RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Rob Collen.

Kyle Richcoon, a 29-year-old Thompson resident, has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, as well as nine counts of breach of recognizance.

Amy Shaw, 25, and also from Thompson, was also charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Richcoon was remanded into custody, while Shaw was released on a recognizance and is scheduled to appear in provincial court Jan. 21.
