The Kin Club of Thompson recently embarked on a major fundraising effort to purchase a new Rudy the Raven mascot. The current mascot is over 40 years old and is falling apart. The cost to replace Rudy is between $8,000 and $10,000.00. To offset this expense, the Kin Club of Thompson partnered with the Thompson Gas Bar Co-op to sell mini-Rudy the Raven plush toys throughout the year. This effort yielded a cheque in the amount of $1,600 that was recently presented to the club.
The Kin Club of Thompson graciously thanks the Thompson Gas Bar Co-op board of directors, its employees and the many people that have purchased a Rudy the Raven plush toy over the past months.
