Sheldin Howard of Thompson was named the IBAM-Manitoba Junior Hockey League rookie of the month Feb. 1 after recording 10 points, including six goals, in 10 games for the Portage Terriers in January.
The 6’5”, 225-pound former Norman Northstar was fifth in rookie scoring overall at that point with 18 goals and 30 points in 36 games, but has added one goal and one assist to those totals in three games since.
