Seventeen skaters from Skate Thompson travelled with their families to The Pas on Jan. 28 for the annual Norman Regional Competition & FunSkate. This is a great opportunity for our skaters and families share our love of the sport and teamwork within the club.

FunSkate is a chance for up-and-coming skaters to interact with other skaters in the region. This year, we had three skaters from our CanSkate and Pre-StarSkate program make the trip. These skaters participated in a themed session, a team event and even had a chance to show off their individual skills! Brady Penney, Hailey Fudge and Taylor Chartrand all came home with their very own medals and stories to tell! Great work, skaters!

We are proud to have 14 skaters take part in the StarSkate portion of the competition. These skaters show off their well-practiced skills in a variety of events. Events include freeskate solos, elements, spins, interpretive, improvisation, shadow dance and team events. Our StarSkaters shone by coming home with 26 gold medals, 24 silver medals and nine bronze medals! Outstanding performances!
