A pair of R.D. Parker Collegiate senior girls’ basketball team members were recognized by Basketball Manitoba April 18 to cap off a season cut short by the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic that shut down schools in late March.
Emma Deibert was named to the first A/AA/AAA female all-Manitoba team for her season with the Trojans, who started the season on a 12-0 run before dropping the final of a tournament in Thompson in mid-February and then won twice at the interzone playoffs to book a spot in the senior girls provincials which ended up bering cancelled.
Deibert was also selected for the A/AA/AAA female graduating all-star roster, along with her teammate Erica Anderson.
