The usual suspects were back at the top of the leader board at the end of the 2010 National King Miner Contest, with Brian Woytkiw taking top spot for the second consecutive year and third time in the last four.
Joe Burton, who won the event in 2008, was the first runner-up for the second straight year, with Dwayne Templeton and Randy Radesic rounding out the top four.
The top four were also the winners in the team event, while Charles Labonte won the award as the top rookie in the contest.
Woytkiw placed first in four of the 11 disciplines - ladder climbing, pipe fitting, slusher mucking and hand mucking - with second-place finishes in stoper drilling, crib building and steel packing and third places in jack leg drilling and nail driving. Log sawing and muck machine mucking were the only events in which Woytkiw finished out of the top four.
Burton had two second-place finishes and three thirds.
