The 2018 Northern Manitoba Off-Road Association mud bogs took place south of Thompson Sept. 1-2 and Kenneth Wark was the biggest winner, taking first place in two categories for trucks and one for ATVs.

Wark was the open class truck winner Sept. 2 and the only competitor in the class to make it out of the mud pit unaided that day, finishing ahead of Greg Robson and Kelly Kopeechuk in second and third. He also took top spot in the modified eight-cylinder class, beating Kopeechuk and Robson in second and third. His third trophy of the weekend came in the 500 to 700 cc ATV class, where he finished ahead of runner-up Mathew Runions and third-place finisher George Howard. Wark nearly made it a foursome of trophies by finishing second in the 700 cc and up ATV class, behind Ray Wolanski and ahead of Dennis Foley.

Organizers said more than 300 spectators came through the gates on Saturday and 200 on Sunday.
