Curling teams lose in final and semifinals at zones

One of R.D. Parker Collegiate’s two teams competing at the Zone 11 curling championships in Flin Flon lost in the final while the other was knocked out in the semifinal round.

Brooke Graham’s team lost to Hapnot Collegiate Institute 1 in the final after having defeated the other team from Flin Flon 8-1 in the semifinals. 

They started the tournament with a 9-1 win over Taylor Watson’s team from RDPC, then defeated Hapnot 2 11-1 before finishing the round robin with a 10-4 loss to the eventual champions.

Watson’s squad followed their defeat to Graham’s team with an 8-6 win over Hapnot 1 and then knocked off Hapnot 2 10-4 to complete the round robin. Their tournament ended with an 8-5 loss to Hapnot 1 in the semifinals.
