Badminton players clean up in Flin Flon

Thompson badminton players picked up six first place finishes and four second places at the second-annual Hapnot Bird Bash badminton tournament at Hapnot Collegiate Institute in Flin Flon recently. Division winners representing R.D.

Thompson badminton players picked up six first place finishes and four second places at the second-annual Hapnot Bird Bash badminton tournament at Hapnot Collegiate Institute in Flin Flon recently.

Division winners representing R.D. Parker Collegiate included Trent Laycock, who won the junior men's singles title, Megan Thorne, the senior women's singles champion and Tevin Wong, who was the senior men's singles champion. In doubles competition, Thorne and Tara Miscavish took the senior women's title, while Wong teamed up with Morgan Cordell to win the senior men's division and Lori Miscavish and Breyden Constant-Turner finished atop the mixed doubles category.

Second place finishers included Arnish Patel in the senior men's singles, as well as Cole Goyak and Anthony Fleet in the junior men's doubles, Flett and Alex Correia in the junior mixed doubles, and Thorne and Cordell in the senior mixed doubles.
