I am a Torontonian who is spending my summer in Nelson House, Man. Being 850 kilometres north of Winnipeg, I never thought that something of this magnitude could happen here but unfortunately it has.

To the Editor: A very large number of persons die every day around the world because they don't have access to affordable medicines. The reason for that: the big drug companies monopoly over medicines they got patented.
