The need for healing

Friends and family of the late Randy Booth gathered in Winnipeg on the evening of Nov. 27 to honour and pay tribute to the man who was obviously such a big part of so many lives.

New session achieves results

To the Editor: I want to thank everyone who contributed or attended the Old Fashioned Christmas Concert held last week in Thompson.

To the Editor: The Thompson Citizen and sponsors, volunteers and entertainers of the Old Fashioned Christmas Concert on Dec. 8 should be congratulated and thanked for their contribution to Thompson and the A Port in the Storm project.

To the Editor: I was amazed at the efforts and the quality of the performances in the Old Fashioned Christmas Concert Dec. 8 organized by Donna Wilson and the Thompson Citizen with other volunteers from A Port in the Storm.

To the Editor: Hussain Guisti is a man of courage and conviction. I was thrilled by the editorial, regarding "shooting the messenger." It was an excellent editorial and wish you could have heard my applause from my desk.

It's a common axiom after elections that voters in a democracy get the government they deserve; ergo if you don't bother to vote you have forfeited the right to complain about politics after the fact.
