Wolf capital potential a gold mine

To the Editor: I am writing to give an outsider’s point of view on a wondrous opportunity in your community: the potential to be the Wolf Capital of the World. Wolves have been persecuted throughout European human history.

I am writing to give an outsider’s point of view on a wondrous opportunity in your community: the potential to be the Wolf Capital of the World.

Wolves have been persecuted throughout European human history. A great many folk now realize the error of this and wish to engage the people and places with remaining wolf populations.

I had the great good fortune to meet the Spirit Way team at the International Wolf Conference, and to hear them speak of your community and the plan to get it right: to grow a plan that is respectful of wolves, of First Nations’ input, and can be the first to be a destination for wolf advocates.

You will have the potential to grow tourism on your own terms, along with the jobs it generates. The interest of researchers and educators will enhance your learning community.

You have a gold mine! I hope you realize your great good fortune.
