To the Editor:

Once again our current premier has rewarded thieves such as Gary Filmon with a publicly funded medevac system as a reward for stealing the election process with graft.

For those of us old enough, Mr. Filmon orchestrated election-rigging in Manitoba in his tenure as premier. The facilitator of an inquiry, Judge Alfred Monin, had no power to prosecute Premier Filmon and his cabinet, yet he did have the courage to comment that “in his career, he had never spent so much time with so many lying bastards.” So, like U.S. President Donald Trump, Filmon never appeared or answered for “stealing the democratic process” and his corrupt administration promptly imploded. And another Filmon is lieutenant-governor, no less.

First he privatized MTS, then he rigged an election and now he’s buying a public health care ambulance as a reward.

It’s time we echo our outrage at the oligarchs rewarding white-collar criminals with public money in the provincial election.

On provincial election day, get out and vote and send a resounding message to Brian Pallister and his “Sultans of Sleaze.”
