To the Editor:
Regardless of Premier Jason Kenney’s claims, Alberta is treated equally under the complicated “transfer payments” system of Canada’s federal system. Briefly, Mr. Kenney is lying. He also quickly disposed of the people investigating his election irregularities in his “staged” leadership race. To add insult to injury, he has the opposition leader Rachel Notley expelled from the legislature, since his corrupt party was under scrutiny.
A famous Albertan, Peter Lougheed, expressed his concern for Eastern Canada in the middle of the Opec crisis. The oil tankers which normally deliver oil to the Atlantic provinces were being diverted to New York and Boston. The dip in production of the Arab oul nations put Atlantic Canada in jeopardy.
As a shameless premier, Peter Lougheed, when asked to assist, replied, “let the eastern bastards freeze!” Now that the situation in Alberta has been reversed by years of bad economic management, all I can muster up in response to Premier Jason Kenney’s constant whining is, “Cry me a river, big boy!”
