To the Editor:
Is it a coincidence that about the same time the last three-ring circus faded into obscurity with little fanfare, that a new sideshow appeared – the Trump regime? The basic difference between the circus and Trump’s clique is that the creatures in the Ringling Brothers show are more highly evolved than the current United States president.
The only one he hasn’t fired yet is the wife, since she is the best money can buy. And according to American history, you can’t fire a slave, you must sell them. Another great American tradition.
Sixty per cent of eligible Americans didn’t even vote, while up here in our “great white north” sixty per cent voted for a young French-Canadian – eh? We wanted change.
We may be neighbours but, but Canadians have something the American system has lost in a big way – good taste.
