The 12th of September was going to be fun. We were going to celebrate our son's pre-wedding social. Everything was pre-arranged and we were ready to party.

Then the phone rang. It was 4:45 p.m., hours before the event was to begin. "Hi, it's your music man, I am cancelling out on you, I am the music man for a wedding at another hall."

This was after we were in contact with him the day before and also the night before and he assured us he would be at the hall at 6:30 p.m. to set up.

Wow, what were we to do now? We sold all the tickets, bought the food, all our friends were coming.

Well, after a lot of scrambling and phone calls to friends like Terry Didluck, we were able to sort out our immense problems when we were put in touch with Smitty (Music Makers). Thanks guys, you saved the day.

On a closing note, the world would be a better place if people didn't lie to each other. A buck isn't everything.

P.S. The social was a great success.

Thanks for reading.
