Trudy (Gertrude Laurine) Wildi (nee Wickdahl)
September 2, 1942 – January 8, 2018
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our wife and mom. Trudy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ed (Lorrence Edwin) Wildi and children: Chris (Johnny), Schelley (Art) and Lorne; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as numerous extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Arvid and Eveline and siblings: Norman and twins Mardi and Harold in infancy.
Trudy was born in Winnipeg, growing up in the Weston area with frequent trips to the family homestead in Erickson. She graduated from Daniel MacIntyre Collegiate shortly before meeting and marrying Ed, the love of her life on January 16, 1960. They moved to Thompson in 1962 where they raised their family and in 1994 relocated to the beautiful home they built together with their son Lorne just south of Erickson.
At this time we would like to thank all of those who have reached out to us with their generous offerings of support and sympathy. As per her wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.
Rest peacefully knowing how deeply you are loved. We will keep you alive in our hearts with the beautiful memories you have left for us to cherish always.
