Two men stopped by Thompson RCMP face impaired driving charges

One man from Fisher River and another from Saskatoon face impaired driving charges after being pulled over by Thompson RCMP July 11-12.

Police attended a call about a suspicious vehicle driving around Ashberry Place just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday and administered a roadside screening test to a 45-year-old male from Fisher River. He failed that and later provided breath samples over the legal limit for blood alcohol content while driving and faces multiple impaired driving charges.

Shorly before 7 p.m. Sunday, Thompson RCMP received a report of an erratic driver near Mid Lake on Highway 6 who was swerving into oncoming traffic. They located the suspect vehicle and administered a roadside screening test to the 48-year-old male driver from Saskatoon, who failed and later provided breath samples over the legal limit. He also faces multiple impaired driving charges.
