Thompson punches above its weight when it comes to buying adult toys and lingerie, according to the sixth edition of PinkCherry’s Canada’s Sexiest Cities.
The list, which ranked Canadian cities based on the average value per person of the sales the adult retailer made there in 2018, found that Thompson was 92nd among 499 communities in Canada when it came to adult novelty and lingerie purchases.
The 100 largest cities in Canada in the 2016 census all had more than 50,000 people.
Thompson was well ahead of its Northern Manitoba neighbours in adult toy purchases per capita, as Flin Flon ranked 191st and The Pas clocked in at 241st overall. Winnipeg ranked 252nd, though it was 10th on the list of cities with populations of more than 150,000 people.
