Ten people driving unregistered vehicles were stopped in Thompson Nov. 25-27, RCMP say.
One of them, pulled over in the City Centre Mall parking lot, was a 44-year-old man from Nelson House who is bound by three separate court-ordered 10-year driving prohibitions. He was arrested and remanded into custody.
Tickets for driving unregistered vehicles were among 40 traffic tickets handed out over the three-day period. Seven drivers were fined for speeding. The fastest was going 102 kilometres per hour in a 50 kilometre per hour zone near the Miles Hart Bridge Nov. 27.
Four drivers were ticketed for not having a driver’s licence, while three others were given tickets for driving while their licences were suspended.
One driver was given a ticket for driving past a barricade on a road that was closed for snow clearing.
