RCMP officers seize drugs after raids in Thompson, Paint Lake and Norway House

On Thursday, Thompson RCMP conducted a search at a residence on Granite Crescent and discovered around 58 grams of cocaine and other drug trafficking paraphernalia. 

Two Thompson residents, a 31-year old male and 41-year old female, were arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking and are due to appear in court on Dec. 21.

A day later, officers seized around 263 grams of cocaine and 76 grams of crack-cocaine, along with several pellet guns, at a residence in Paint Lake Provincial Park.

Nicole and Tyrone Pye, who are both 45-years old and live near Liz Lake, were arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and have been remanded in custody.

Finally, on Nov. 10, members of the Norway House RCMP seized a large quantity of methamphetamine in their community, along with other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Four Norway House residents, two males and two females, were arrested at the scene of the raid and have yet to be formally charged.

The Thompson and Norway House RCMP are continuing to investigate all three cases.
