R.D. Parker Collegiate was in a hold and secure situation, with no one allowed to enter or leave the school, for about 90 minutes Feb. 21 while RCMP investigated a possible threat against the school.
A message sent out to parents' by school principal Rob Fisher shortly after 11 a.m. said the hold and secure situation was over.
"The possible threat to our school was unfounded and not confirmed," said the message. "We are all clear and resuming as usual. We would like to thank the RCMP for their thorough response and our students' co-operation during the hold and secure.“
The hold and secure situation began shortly before 10 a.m.
Three RCMP cruisers and one RCMP pickup truck were parked in the front drop-off loop of the school along Thompson Drive as of 11 a.m.
