Police find overdue boater at Burntwood River cabin

Thompson RCMP and Manitoba Conservation located a boater at a cabin on the Burntwood River June 4 after he was reported late returning from a trip.

Police were notified about the boater around 5:40 a.m. Thursday. He had departed Wednesday afternoon on the Burntwood River by the Causeway along Highway 391 and not yet returned. Police patrolled the river by boat and located the boater safe and sound with help from a Manitoba Conservation helicopter.
