Police catch prohibited driver in unregistered vehicle

The driver of an unregistered vehicle was arrested by Thompson RCMP for driving while prohibited Nov. 6.

Officers on patrol around 8:30 p.m. saw the vehicle travelling at high speed on Mystery Lake Road and initiated queries which revealed that it was not registered. After pulling the vehicle over, police determined that the driver, a 28-year-old Thompson man, was prohibited from driving a vehicle anywhere in Canada. He was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while prohibited and released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
