Police arrest 16-year-old following brief foot chase after early morning break-in

Thompson RCMP have arrested a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old in connection with a Sept. 15 break-and-enter into a garage on Westwood Drive.

Police responded to a report of a break-and-enter just after 6 a.m. Tuesday and arrested the 16-year-old near Westwood Elementary School after a brief foot chase. Later in the morning, the 15-year-old was arrested for their involvement in the incident. Both are facing multiple charges and RCMP continue to investigate.

Police are also investigating a Sept. 14 break-and-enter on Spoonbill Crescent in which a thief gained access through an unlocked window and stole a quantity of alcohol.
