One man arrested for carrying a knife, another for biting a security guard

Two men from Nelson House were arrested in two separate incidents in Thompson Dec. 17-18, one for brandishing a knife, the other for biting and spitting on a security guard.

Two men from Nelson House were arrested in two separate incidents in Thompson Dec. 17-18, one for brandishing a knife, the other for biting and spitting on a security guard.

Thompson RCMP responded to a report of a man seen with a knife near the Thompson Inn beer vendor around 9:40 p.m. Friday night and found a 28-year-old man from Nelson House in possession of a knife outside the Thompson Public Library. The man was arrested before being released from custody to appear in court at a later date.

A few hours later, around 12:10 a.m. Dec. 18, police received a report of a man fighting with security at the Thompson Inn. RCMP were told that a 27-year-old man from Nelson House had threatened to kill the security guard before biting the guard and spitting in their face. He was arrested and later released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
