Canada Post representative Tammy Green presents, from left to right, Darrick Graff, Selby Brown, Mike Bourgon and Steve Molloy of Thompson Fire & Emergency Services with a new specialty stamp designed to honour the country’s firefighters.

On Oct. 15, Canada Post presented Thompson Fire & Emergency Services with an enlarged version of their firefighter-themed stamp.

Local area supervisor Tammy Green presented this piece of artwork in person at the fire hall Monday morning, saying that it represents Canada Post’s gratitude for the skills, service and sacrifices of those who protect Canadians by risking their own lives.

This stamp is part of a larger collection that’s designed to honour other emergency responders, including police, ambulance, search and rescue and the Canadian Armed Forces.

These stamps are available for purchase through Canada Post’s website.
